Tom Daley, Sharron Davies, Tom Voyce and Andrew Castle will star in the special live edition of TV quiz show, A Question of Sport, at Plymouth Pavilions this month.

And local sports fans will be pleased to hear that Plymouth Pavilions has just released a further 80 tickets for the previously sold-out show.

The popular BBC quiz is due to be held in front of a live audience in Plymouth, as part of a UK tour to commemorate its 40th anniversary.

Local sporting faces, Tom Daley (diver), Sharron Davies (swimmer) and Tom Voyce (Cornwall, Rugby, 27 Caps for England) will join Andrew Castle (Tennis, GMTV, 71 Degrees North), presenter Sue Barker and  resident team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell for the show.

Fans will be able to see their favourite rounds up-close for the first time – from the Picture Board to What Happened Next, and Home Or Away to the Observation Round.

Translating the TV show into theatre setting will also allow producers to add some new twists and surprises to the production.

For the first time audience members will be able to participate in the show, directly posing questions to the teams and getting involved in each Captain’s Challenge.

There’ll also more physical challenges, including live mystery guests and sporting contests between teams.

This is the first time that fans of the can experience the hit show outside of their living rooms and will also be a unique experience for the presenter and captains.

Phil Tuffnel told SouthWestShows: “It’s really thrilling to be able to take the show on tour.

“Doing it live means we can interact more directly with the audience which will make the show a lot more exciting.”

Matt Dawson added: “I think what makes this live tour special is that for the first time ever families will be able to watch A Question of Sport in a live setting.

“When I was a child, we used to all sit at home and play the game as a family and we’d have loved the opportunity to all go and shout out the answers to the panellists.”

Sue Barker is equally enthusiastic about the live tour: “I can’t wait to get on the road. We’re looking forward to welcoming some of the biggest names in sport to the tour.

“Touring across the UK will be fantastic fun and I am sure I’ll have my hands full with Matt and Phil.”

A Question Of Sport is at Plymouth Pavilions on November 10. Tickets cost £35 from the Pavilions website.
