Pop duo Rizzle Kicks are set to visit Plymouth Pavilions this winter as part of their biggest UK tour to date.
Harley Alexander-Sule and Jordan Stephens are two of the most exciting young talents to emerge in 2011.
The Brighton duo, who have smaller shows coming up in the next few months at Princess Pavilion Falmouth and Exeter Lemon Grove, spent years hustling beats from local producers, before signing to Island Records and finally making it into a professional studio.
Their debut single, Down With The Trumpets, sold over 250,000 copies and hung around in the Official Top 40 for 13 weeks. Follow up record, When I Was a Youngster, featuring a cameo from Ed Sheeran, peaked at number eight.
The guys’ third single, Mama Do the Hump (produced by Fatboy Slim’s Norman Cook) hit number two in December.
They also featured on Heart Skips a Beat by Olly Murs which hit number one in the UK singles chart last summer.
Their debut album, Stereo Typical, is a mixture of pop and hip-hop incorporating the fun elements of the old school rap era circa 1988-92.
Rizzle Kicks hit Plymouth Pavilions on November 21, 2012. Tickets cost £15 (10 per customer) and go on sale at 10am on February 10, 2012, from the Pavilions website.
