Ed Sheeran and Dizzee Rascal are set to headline the Relentless Boardmasters festival at Watergate Bay in Newquay this summer.

After his unforgettable performance at the Brit Awards of Lego House last month, Ed Sheeran went on to receive two awards, for Best Male and Best British Breakthrough.

His debut album, titled simply +, was the ninth biggest-selling album of 2011 in the UK, and has since been certified triple platinum.

The record climbed back up to number one in January, some fifteen weeks after it last peaked at the top.

Dizzee Rascal is sure to become a Boardmasters favourite with hits that will see the crowd go wild.

His debut album, Boy In Da Corner, won him acclaim from peers, fans and critics and earned the headliner the 2003 Mercury Prize.  Follow-up albums include Showtime, Maths + English, and Tongue N Cheek.

Other acts confirmed for this year’s Boardmasters include Maximo Park, Maverick Sabre, Zane Lowe, Ting Tings, DJ FRESH, Donavon Frankenreiter and The Big Pink.

Known as Europe’s premier surf, skate and music event, Relentless Boardmasters has cemented its reputation as ‘The Cornish Festival’.

Watergate Bay will host eight live music stages while Fistral Beach will host world-class surfing, skateboarding and BMXing.

Relentless Boardmasters takes place across two sites in Newquay from August 8 to 12, 2012. Ed Sheeran will headline on August 10 while Dizzee Rascal will headline on August 11. Tickets are available from the Relentless Boardmasters website.
