Metalcore stars Trivium are set to visit O2 Academy Bristol this autumn as part of a new UK tour.
The Florida-based outfit are apparently working on their sixth record and may have some new material ready to roll out when they arrive on British shores.
The tour will see them performing alongside fellow metallers As I Lay Dying and could possibly even include Caliban and Upon a Burning Body, who are supporting Trivium and AILD on their European autumn dates.
Back in March, Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto said of the new record: “I think it’s going to be heavier. We’ve definitely learned to write better on the road and we’re learning that writing with a more focused vision musically is the way to go.”
Trivium‘s fifth studio album, titled In Waves, was released last year and featured the debut of new drummer Nick Augusto.
It sold 22,000 copies in its first week of release and debuted at number 13 on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Billboard Hard Rock charts. The record also reached number 17 on the UK Top 40 Album Chart.
The guys were last in the West Country for the Metal Hammer Defenders Of The Faith Tour at Plymouth Pavilions in December.
Trivium hit O2 Academy Bristol on October 19, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 9am on June 15, 2012.
