American rockers Shinedown are set to visit Exeter University Great Hall this autumn as part of an eight-date UK tour.
The announcement follows the release of Shinedown‘s fourth studio album Amaryllis, which hit number 18 in the UK album charts back in March.
The record also debuted at number four on the American Billboard 200, with 106,000 units sold in its first week.
Speaking of the album, frontman Brent Smith said: “Amaryllis reflects on everything we’ve done and where we’re heading. It’s a message of empowerment, perseverance, and inspiration that speaks to fans that have been with us since the beginning as well as those who are just learning about who we are.”
Amaryllis saw Shinedown joining forces once more with multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo (Kid Rock, Green Day), who previously collaborated with the band on 2008’s The Sound Of Madness.
That album proved Shinedown’s mainstream breakthrough, debuting at number eight on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart.
Shinedown hit Exeter University Great Hall on October 25, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 9am on July 13, 2012.
