Spend Boxing Day with ska legends Bad Manners when they visit Bristol Fleece this winter as part of a new UK tour.
Led by the outlandish, larger-than-life, huge-tongued and shaven-headed frontman Buster Bloodvessel, Bad Manners will return to the road in December to deliver yet another tour of aggressive and highly danceable good-time ska.
Bad Manners formed in 1976 while at school together. At the time of forming none of the members had any formal musical training – not even the ability to play any instruments.
Hitting their peak during the late Seventies and early Eighties, a period when ska bands filled the charts, you may recall hits such as My Girl Lollipop, Lip Up Fatty, Special Brew, and Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu.
Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart between 1980 and 1983, and they also achieved chart success with their first four studio albums - Gosh It’s… Bad Manners, Loonee Tunes! and Ska ‘n’ B being their biggest hits.
Another reason for the group’s popularity was down to the exploits of the irrepressible Buster Bloodvessel who got them banned from Top of the Pops as a result of his controversial behaviour while performing live.
In short, this new tour won’t be for the faint-hearted!
Bad Manners hit Bristol Fleece on December 26, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 9am on August 10, 2012.
