The award-winning Florence And The Machine are set to visit Exeter Westpoint Arena this winter as part of a short UK tour.

Florence And The Machine‘s debut album, Lungs, was released in 2009, and held the number two position for its first five weeks on the UK Albums Chart.

In January 2010, the album finally reached the top position, after being on the chart for 28 consecutive weeks.

The group’s second studio album, Ceremonials, released in October 2011, debuted at number one in the UK and number six in the US, and is one of the favourites to win this year’s Mercury Music Prize.

Singer Florence Welch recently confessed that she has already thought about a new album, despite previously saying that she’d been taking at least a year out from the music scene.

Just last week Welch revealed that she had a ‘take-a-year-off plan’ and that the her record company had offered her as much time off as she needed before moving onto her next album.

Speaking to Spinner, Welch admitted: “I’ve been thinking about it a lot. I think I’ve written a whole album in my head.”

Florence And The Machine hit Exeter Westpoint Arena on December 4, 2012. Tickets go on sale at 9am on September 14, 2012, from the See Tickets website.
