American rockers The Gaslight Anthem will play two shows at O2 Academy Bristol in 2013 as part of a new UK tour.

Following their triumphant return to the UK at their sold-out show at KOKO and their performances at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, The Gaslight Anthem announce a brand new UK tour for March 2013.

The Gaslight Anthem have just released latest single Here Comes My Man, taken from their acclaimed top-three album Handwritten which was released in the summer.

The video, directed by long-time Gaslight collaborator Kevin Slack and the band’s Benny Horowitz, features Canadian actress and 24 star Elisha Cuthbert.

Produced by two-time Grammy Award-winner Brendan O’Brien, Handwritten finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting Sixtie′s soul, Seventies stadium rock, Eighties hardcore and Nineties grunge into 11 white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems.

Singer Brian Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to “Tom Petty songs [being] played by Pearl Jam”.

And after years paying their dues in the punk rock underground, their major label debut is assuredly the work of a young band who know their time is now.

“I’ve always been ready for arenas,” Fallon says. “I’ve just been waiting for them to catch up to me…”

The Gaslight Anthem hit O2 Academy Bristol on March 21 and 22, 2013. Tickets go on sale at 9am on November 16, 2012.
