Lo-fi indie rockers Darwin Deez will visit Thekla Bristol in 2013 as part of a short UK tour.

The jaunt is in support of Darwin Deez‘s long-awaited new album, Songs For Imaginative People, which is due out on February 11.

The first single from the record, Free (The Editorial Me), was the Hottest Record In The World last week on Zane Lowe‘s Radio 1 show.

Led by frontman Darwin Smith, the NYC combo began to receive public attention in the UK during late 2009, following the release of debut single, Constellations.

In April 2010, the band released their second single, Radar Detector, which managed to reach number 62 in the UK Singles Chart and number five on the UK Indie Chart.

Darwin Smith also appeared on the cover of the NME and was placed in the top 10 of their annual Cool List.

Darwin Deez hit Thekla Bristol on February 14, 2013. Tickets go on sale at 9am on December 7, 2012.
