‘Rockney’ legends Chas & Dave are Back By Demand and visiting Bristol Fleece and Exeter Lemon Grove this spring.
Chas & Dave are great musicians and know how to give the audience a good time.
They have gained a cult audience of both young and old and due to public demand are to be seen together on stage once more.
Chas & Dave began writing songs together in 1972, having been friends since the early Sixties.
The guys have amassed no less than eight top 40 hits and nine bestselling albums since they first broke into the charts with Gertcha in 1979.
The hits continued to flow, including Margate, London Girls, Ain’t No Pleasing You, Rabbit, The Sideboard Song and Snooker Loopy.
They have also written title songs for the TV shows Till Death Do Us Part and Only Fools and Horses.
But there is more to this duo than just pub singalong, music-hall humour, boogie-woogie piano and rock’n’roll.
Perhaps the most influential indie band of the last 10 years, The Libertines, took them out on tour and American songstress Tori Amos also frequently covers the band’s material!
The first half of the new show will consist of Chas & Dave‘s pub set, ending with Gertcha from 1979 – the start of their success. The second half will feature all their hits since then.
