Indie legends House Of Love coming to Bristol Fleece

Eighties indie-rock legends The House Of Love are set to visit the Bristol Fleece this spring to promote their new album She Paints Words In Red.

The House Of Love have today confirmed dates via Facebook for an April UK tour to coincide with the release of their new album.

In addition to the new tour dates, The House of Love are streaming two samples of new tracks from their upcoming sixth studio album She Paints Words In Red.

You can check out both A Baby Got Back On Its Feet and the album’s title track over at the band’s official Facebook page.

She Paints Words In Red, set for release on March 25, is House Of Love‘s second studio offering since their reformation in the mid-2000s.

The album will be preceded by the single, A Baby Got Back On Its Feet, which will be available digitally on March 18 and then physically as a 7” on April 20 to coincide with Record Store Day.

House Of Love currently line up as original members Guy Chadwick (vocals, guitar), Terry Bickers (guitar) and Pete Evans (drums), plus newcomer bassist Matt Jury.

Formed in 1986, the band rose to prominence as a leading indie rock band in 1988 and split up in 1993, eventually reforming a decade later in 2003.

The group is best known for its detailed psychedelic guitar sound and for the successful singles Shine On, Christine, and Destroy The Heart.

The House Of Love hit Bristol Fleece on April 9, 2013. Tickets go on sale at 9am on January 25, 2013.
