Artist Rosie Burns will host Make Space, an exhibition with a difference, at Harbour House in Kingsbridge this month.
Rosie Burns is well known in Devon as a versatile artist and tutor, and since 2006 has held an annual exhibition at Harbour House featuring her ceramic sculptures, wood carvings, printmaking, and paintings in watercolours and oils.
She has also been an active participant in artists’ collectives in the South Hams and in North Devon, and exhibits widely.
Rosie has recently moved to Essex, where she is sure to involve herself in the local community of artists.
In Make Space, Rosie will begin with an etching press and an easel, and expects to soon fill the vast walls of the Harbour House gallery with works in progress.
Visitors are welcome at any time to come in for a chat about what she’s doing, and she’s particulary keen to invite the public back on the last afternoon, February 2, to see just how much she has achieved over the fortnight.
For those interested in a more conventional gallery experience, Rosie returns to Harbour House in the spring for her annual exhibition.
Rosie Burns: Make Space is at Harbour House in Kingsbridge from January 21 to February 2, 2013. Admission is free – see the Harbour House website for details.
