Comedian Marcus Brigstocke is bringing his new show, titled The Brig Society, to Falmouth, St Ives, Exeter, Torrington and Bristol.
Marcus Brigstocke actually began his comedy career in Bristol while studying drama at university and soon won the BBC New Comedian of 1996 at the Edinburgh Festival.
He is now regarded as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing standup nationally to sell out audiences both on tour and on the well-trodden comedy circuit.
He has also appeared on TV and radio in such shows as Have I Got News for You, Live at the Apollo, QI and the Now Show.
He was a team captain on Argumental and is currently presenting his own series on Radio 4 – I’ve Never Seen Star Wars.
In addition he has appeared in several films including playing a DJ in Love, Actually. Among his previous jobs were oil rig worker and podium dancer.
The master of satirical comedy, Marcus has proved to be blisteringly funny over a wide range of topics.
His new show, The Brig Society, is touring the country with the aim of nothing less than a total restructuring of every aspect of life in Britain through the medium of jokes.
