Tom Odell set for Relentless Boardmasters music festival 2013

Brit Award-winner Tom Odell will join Basement Jaxx, The Vaccines and Ben Howard at the Relentless Boardmasters festival at Watergate Bay in Newquay this summer.

Tom Odell is the winner of this year’s prestigious Critics’ Choice Award, announced at the Brit Awards last night.

The gong is for British acts tipped by critics for mainstream success in the forthcoming year who are yet to release their debut album.

In previous years it has been awarded to Emeli Sande, Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine and Adele.

West Sussex-born Odell has been writing songs from the age of 13. Now 22, Tom has built up a sizeable fanbase, with support from the public and critics alike.

He released his debut EP, Songs From Another Love, to much acclaim in late 2012, following the release with a performance on Later… With Jools Holland.

Odell will join Basement Jaxx, The Vaccines, Ben Howard, Everything Everything, Delphic and Grandmaster Flash at the Relentless Boardmasters festival this summer.

Known as Europe’s premier surf, skate and music event, Relentless Boardmasters has cemented its reputation as ‘The Cornish Festival’.

Watergate Bay will host nine live music stages while Fistral Beach will host world-class surfing, skateboarding and BMXing.

Relentless Boardmasters takes place across two sites in Newquay from August 7 to 11, 2013. Find out more on the Relentless Boardmasters website.
