Jurassic 5 coming to O2 Academy Bristol

Hip-hop legends Jurassic 5 are set to visit O2 Academy Bristol this summer as part of a short UK tour.

Jurassic 5 have announced further summer live dates, following their three exclusive headline dates this June which includes a show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

Jurassic 5, featuring rappers Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir, Mark 7even and disc jockeys DJ Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist, formed in 1993 and debuted nationally in 1995 with their first single, Unified Rebelution.

Their eponymous full-length debut album was released in 1998 and provided the guys with a surprise UK Top 40 single in the form of the infectious Concrete Schoolyard.

Three albums followed, including Quality Control, Power In Numbers and Feedback, but the group disbanded in 2007 citing ‘musical differences’.

These new dates see the full line-up reunited again and will follow their appearance at this year’s Parklife Weekender.

Jurassic 5 hit O2 Academy Bristol on July 17, 2013. Tickets go on sale at 9am on April 19, 2013.
